My mother’s birthday is July 3rd and she always decorates her front porch with vintage inspired bunting. I created this Patriotic Paper Rosette Wreath to decorate the front door. I am finally creating one for myself this year because I so enjoyed making this wreath for her.

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Patriotic Paper Rosette Wreath:

  1. You will need rosettes in three different sizes. The largest rosette was cut at 2″ using Scallop1 (make 6). The next size was cut at 1.5″ using Circles (make 6). And the smallest rosette was cut at 1.25″ using Stamp1 (make 7). Cut six strips for each rosette.
  2. Fold the strips using the indicator lines that are cut into the strip. Attach the six strips together to form a continuous loop using repositionable adhesive.
  3. Either using the medium circle from the Circle Custom Cutting System Patterns or a jar lid, gently press the pleated loop until it nestles inside. Even out the pleats. Punch out two circles from cardstock using the 5/8″ punch. Put a glop of hot glue in the center of the rosette and press one of the punched circles into the glue and hold until it hardens. Flip the rosette over and repeat this same process on the other side.
  4. Cut varying medallions using the medallions in the cartridge and your circle punches.
  5. Adhere the medallion to the center of each rosette using double-sided tape.
  6. Either using a wire wreath form or a cardboard wreath form you can create yourself, adhere the rosettes to the wreath using hot glue.
  7. Hang your Patriotic Paper Rosette Wreath masterpiece on your front door or display on your front porch.

The rosettes look like fireworks so this is a great project for decorating for the 4th of July or any patriotic holiday or showcasing your patriotism.
