This Witchy Turtle Halloween Card is too cute and perfect for those reptile lovers.  Halloween cards are a nice alternative to candy and wonderful to share with the kids in your life where Halloween rules.

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Witchy Turtle Halloween Card:

(These next 2 links are affiliate links which means I get a small commission if you purchase through me.)

  1. Cut the gold cardstock to be 4.25″ high by 8.5″ wide.  Cut the mint cardstock to be 5.25″ high x 4″wide.
  2. Fold the gold cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
  3. Run the mint cardstock using the embossing folder through the Cuttlebug machine.
  4. Cut the witchy turtle from Create a Critter 2 at 3.5″ and trick or treat at 1.5″.  Adhere all of the layers of the turtle together.
  5. Adhere the turtle and greeting to the embossed cardstock to complete the card.
  6. Write your own sentiment or download the holiday sentiments freebie below and mail the Witchy Turtle Halloween Card.

The hexagon embossing folder seemed perfect for this card and looks like a turtle’s back.  Since I have a collection of embossing folders, it is fun to match up the card with a folder in my stash.  I choose embossing folders that have a repeating pattern that won’t distract from the card.  Embossing folders also enhance and clarify the overall feel of the card.  For more Halloween card inspiration using the same Cricut cartridge, please check out these festive cards: Skeleton Bear, Vampire Bee, and Masked Owl.

Until next time, be creative!
