About a week ago, we were visiting the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden at Cal State Long Beach to reconnoiter for an upcoming event.  While we were inspecting the tent, this crane decided it was time for lunch so he swooped in and scooped up a small koi.  He swallowed it whole.  We came out into the garden minutes later and realized that we missed the show.  However, the crane decided he needed to pose for the visitors and take his bow.  He stood on this rock for a few minutes admiring the silent applause.  What a character!  Thanks Mr. Crane for the great shot.
