Crafted Living

Photography Monday: Cruz’n for Roses Part II

Because of my father and my husband, I have a passion for cars especially classic cars.  It all started with my father taking me to races at Ontario Motor Speedway, Laguna Seca and the Long Beach Grand Prix.  My father has restored classic cars and my husband is a huge fan with dreams of restoring his own car.  My husband claims that one of the reasons he married me is that I love cars.  The popularity of this event has grown and this year it was the 9th annual.  Many people attended this event because viewing the classic cars brings back memories of a simpler time.  Good old nostalgia!

Love the subtle detail of the P!

The license plate definitely belongs to this bakery truck.

Nicely detailed grill.

A simple linear detail that provides contrast on this car.

A beautiful, weathered logo from one of the vintage trailers.

I hope I have shown you that there is more to the car than the engine and how fast it goes.  Many of these cars are beautifully designed and we must appreciate these craftsmen and engineers for their dedication to a noteworthy craft.
