Make this easy DIY Halloween card using your Cricut. Fun to give this spooky handmade card to the Halloween lovers in your life. #craftedliving #halloween #halloweencrafts #greetingcard #diycrafts #diy #cricut #cricutprojectsUsing one of my favorite Cricut cartridges, I created another card for this Halloween series, the Masked Owl Halloween Card. The cartridge designer had fun with this design because some owls already have a masked look and yet, this owl is wearing a mask. Cuteness overload!

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Masked Owl Halloween Card:

(These next 6 links are affiliate links which means I get a small commission if you purchase through me at no cost to you.)

  1. Cut the orange cardstock to be 4.25″ high by 8.5″ wide. Cut the lavender cardstock to be 5.25″ high x 4″ wide.
  2. Fold the orange cardstock in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to crisp the edge.
  3. Run the lavender cardstock using the embossing folder through the Cuttlebug machine.
  4. Cut the masked owl from Create a Critter 2 at 3.5″ and happy halloween at 1″. Adhere all of the layers of the owl together.
  5. Adhere the owl and greeting to the embossed cardstock to complete the card.
  6. Write your own sentiment or download the holiday sentiments freebie below and mail the Masked Owl Halloween Card.

As with the Vampire Bee and Skeleton Bear Halloween Card, I chose a different tile embossing folder because I love the contrast of the cute owl against a Gothic background. I enjoy designing cards when I can create the unexpected. Not being predictable can be fun by pairing cute with haunted as with these cards. Or, playing off of the main image by expanding a particular shape to be incorporated into the background as with the Witchy Turtle Halloween Card. Creating and designing is like playing and we can use more playtime especially as adults.

Until next time, be creative!
