Many Glacier Hotel

Nestled next to Swiftcurrent Lake

Many Glacier Hotel is nestled next to Swiftcurrent Lake.

Built by Louis Hall and the Great Northern Railway in 1914-15, it’s the largest hotel in Glacier National Park with 214 guest rooms.  Lofty peaks surround the hotel and its balcony overlooking Swiftcurrent Lake offers one of the finest mountain views anywhere.

What a stunning setting!

The view of the lodge from Swiftcurrent Lake.

The secluded location was intentionally selected to entice visitors to explore the natural surroundings in a rustic experience.

The flower boxes add beauty and color to the hotel exterior.

As part of an effort to establish Glacier National Park as the “American Alps”, it was built in the chalet style and was considered the “Gem of the West”.

The lobby soars above you.

A common theme amongst the park lodges, timbers used as structural elements.

With a view of Many Glacier, a stay in this lodge would be one to consider if you plan on visiting Glacier National Park.
