Cricut Friday: Squirrel Birthday Card

Happy squirrely birthday!

Happy squirrely birthday!

My niece’s birthday was a few weeks ago and I made this card for her.  We went to visit my brother and his family back in September and noticed their property was filled with mature trees and lots of squirrels.  You need the following tools and supplies to create this card:

Fold the orange cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x 5.5″ and cut the mango cardstock to 5.25″x 4″.  Cut all of the pieces for the squirrel at 3″ and the hat at 4″.  Adhere all of the layers of the squirrel together.  Run the orange cardstock through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss.  Adhere the squirrel, hat, and googly eyes to the embossed cardstock.

My niece is also very creative like her Aunt Tina and her grandmother.  We always try to encourage that creativity.  She loves to draw and make greeting cards so her birthday gift was a cute, little suitcase filled with blank greetings cards, stickers, and lots of fun embellishments.  I hope she liked this birthday card and was inspired by it.
