Cricut Friday: Milestone Birthday Cards

January 4, 2013 by Tina Kistinger Leave a Comment

Milestone birthday cards

Milestone birthday cards

I am an avid maker of birthday cards and I find that cards for men are the hardest to create.  They need to be simple and not fussy.  Since these were milestone birthday cards, I decided to approach it graphically and use the number as the focal point.  You will need the following supplies and tools to create these cards:

  • Cricut machine
  • Cricut/Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge
  • Cuttlebug machine
  • Cuttlebug embossing folders
  • cardstock
  • adhesive

Trim the dark blue and dark green cardstock to 8.5″x 5.5″ or half of an 8.5″x 11” sheet.  Fold the cardstock so it is a finished size of 4.25″x5.5″.  Cut the numbers and their shadows at 3″.  Trim the light blue and light green cardstock to 5.25″x 4″.  Run each piece through the Cuttlebug machine to emboss.  Adhere all of the pieces together.

You can find the Cheerful Seasons cartridge and cardstock here.  Happy paper crafting!
