Gather the following tools and supplies to create the Birthday Gift Card Holders:

(These next 7 links are affiliate links which means I get a commission if you purchase through me.)

  1. Cut one sheet of colored 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock into three pieces measuring 3.5″ x 8.5″. You will have one small piece of cardstock left measuring .5″ x 11″.
  2. Score cardstock using a metal ruler, mat and embossing stylus at 2″ from one end. Then, measure 4″ from the first score mark and score again.
  3. Fold at the score marks and use the bone folder to crisp the edges.
  4. Use corner rounder to round the corners on the 2″ end to finish the flap.
  5. Cut three pieces of patterned paper at: 3.25″ x 1.75″, 3.25″ x 2.25″ and 3.25″ x 3.75″.
  6. Use the corner rounder to round the corners of one end of the smallest piece of paper. This piece will be put on the flap and will match the rounded corners of the base piece.
  7. Run mini tape runner adhesive along the side edges of the 2.25″ end of the cardstock to make the pocket. Be careful to run the adhesive close to the edge on each side so there is plenty of room for the gift card to slide in and out of the pocket.
  8. Adhere the patterned paper pieces to the outside of the gift card holder.
  9. Cut the medallion of your choosing at 2″ from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge. I used the Flower 7 medallion.
  10. Punch out the circle from colored cardstock and burst/star from colored cardstock. Adhere the circle to the medallion using adhesive. Adhere the burst/star to the medallion.
  11. Adhere the entire medallion to the top half of the flap using adhesive.
  12. Attach the velcro dot to the flap for closure.
  13. Fill your Birthday Gift Card Holders with gift cards.

A quick and easy project that is easy to make in multiples and one sheet of cardstock yields three gift card holders. Win, win! I always have a batch on hand so I’m prepared for any last minute birthday celebrations.
