Thanksgiving is approaching quickly.  Are you ready?  When I or my mother hosts Thanksgiving, we always set a more formal table so we can use our gorgeous china, silver and crystal.  Since we are both designers, Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to craft a beautiful tablescape.  With that in mind, these 5 Minute Thanksgiving Napkin Rings are like the cherry on top.  So simple!

Gather the following tools and supplies to create the 5 Minute Thanksgiving Napkin Rings:

(These next 4 links are affiliate links which means I get a commission if you purchase through me.)

  1. Punch out a border from patterned paper using the Border Maker System.
  2. Trim the border using a paper trimmer to 1” wide.
  3. Cut a 1/4″ strip of cardstock and adhere to the border using the mini tape runner.
  4. Cut the completed border into three pieces, 4″ in length per piece.
  5. Using the bone folder, pre-curl the strip to soften the paper.  This technique is similar to curling paper for the Autumn Curly Paper Wreath.
  6. Add a few strips of tape runner adhesive to one end to make a ring.
  7. Slide the napkin ring around the napkin.  Set your Thanksgiving table using your completed 5 Minute Thanksgiving Napkin Rings.

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this project.  Three napkin rings from one 12″ border is a winner in my craft book.  If you have a paper stash like I do, then you probably already have what you need on hand.  If not, purchase paper that works for your color scheme and you only need one sheet of patterned paper and one sheet of cardstock.  The Border Maker System is a scrapbooker and paper crafter’s best friend and isn’t only for scrapbooking.
